Sherlock Season 3 Production Pushed Back

Audiences eagerly awaiting for the third season of Sherlock are going to have to wait much longer than anticipated. According to reports via EW, production of the new installment has been pushed backed from its original start date in January now till March. The shift is likely due to the busy schedules of the series’ leading men, the site concludes.

Even though no premiere date has been announced by the BBC, the start date in January is significant correlation as U.S. audiences could have expected the next edition to air sometime in early 2013, now with the delay U.S. fans can expect the third season to probably premiere sometime in late 2013 to even 2014. The major factor is because PBS cannot air the new season until the BBC has finished airing it first.

So it looks like fans won’t be getting their Sherlock fix anytime soon, but I think we can all agree that as long as PBS still airs Sherlock everything will be right as rain…probably.
